Breathing in and out of the nose is a key component of a children’s yoga practice.

Benefits of nose breathing:

  • Reduces stress
  • Gets more oxygen into the lungs
  • Helps kids to calm themselves by focusing on their breath

In contrast, mouth breathing is shallow, and can cause symptoms of  fight/flight in kids.

Try the Inhale Pose below:
